We went to the Hospital Infantil Dr. Robert Reid Casral in downtown Santo Domingo, but they did not allow any pictures of the children. They did provide us with a gurney for transporting shoe boxes inside the hospital that I’ve included. We distributed over 150 shoe boxes to only children that had a hospital bed.
This afternoon we went to a public school in northern Santo Domingo with over 300 children. The public school is using/sharing the buildings of a Christian school Colegio Cristiano Riobisa. We distributed the shoe boxes in a church near the school, and the children walked from the school to the church under strict supervision of the teachers in the street. These children were amazingly well behaved until the frenzy and excitement of passing out the shoe boxes reaches a crescendo, and the children’s joy and laughter take over. There was plenty of singing and Tammy Guttre gave her testimony.
Blessings to you. One more day of two distributions tomorrow.
